"Wives may be merry, and yet honest too"

I went to see the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Barbican Theatre in London. The play is said to have been commissioned by Elizabeth I, who enjoyed seeing the comic figure of Sir John Falstaff in Henry IV Parts I and II and requested that Shakepeare write a play featuring Falstaff in love. It was a fun production, and this is a shot of the stage before the play started.
I love Shakepeare! Interesting stage design.
