The world's tallest modular towers are being assembled opposite East Croydon station. The thin concrete pillars were finished in December last year, and cranes are stacking concrete cubes around the pillars to assemble each tower floor by floor. One will be 44 storeys high, and the other will be 38 storeys. They are residential blocks and will contain roof gardens. It makes me feel vertiginous just thinking about being up there!
