The Imperial War Museum opened in 1920 in Crystal Palace, and moved to its current location in Lambeth in 1936. Like many museums and galleries, it closed in March due to COVID-19, but the IWM reopened its doors yesterday. I hadn't been into Central London or on a train since March, but knew that IWM would be well worth a visit. It was good to see the familiar sight of the naval guns from the battleships HMS Ramillies and HMS Resolution, which were installed outside the museum in 1968.
