"Monster growing in the garden"

An amazed to watch this plant grow, over the last few weeks this huge flower spike has come up. this is the first time this has flowered, I expected a nice orange flower that the birds would like but instead it has a small flower as in inset. Plant is an agave.
A veritable triffid! Great shot - I like the closeup flower inset.

WOW it is soooo tall! Where are the flowers located - all up and down the "stalk" or just at the top? It sure is weird :)

@gigiflower The flowers are just coming out, they are all the way up the spike, you can see them coming out starting at the bottom.

Well, here's my newly-learned fact for the day; I had no idea Agave grew like this and produced such an interesting flower. You about need a wide-angle lens to get this all in!
