Everybody loves someone by sabresun

Everybody loves someone

Bekki (nectarfizz) and I wanted to see what each other's take on a photo might be as we have different approaches and styles when it comes to photography. She took this shot, then left it to me to do with what I wanted with it. I thought it might be quite a nice idea if I emphasised the world weariness (as I see it) of the wooden geisha which almost seems to be sighing. Then along comes the butterfly to cheer it up.

I added the butterfly and did the pencil effect with Photoscape.

This ornament has been sitting in the bathroom for ages and has been splashed with shower water and dried out so many times that it looks a little sorry for itself and a little disgruntled. :)

You can find Bekk's photo here http://365project.org/nectarfizz/365

@denisedaly @emer @dmortega @alecio @sinarta @tford @maryellen @maryellen @ksphoto Thanks for taking a look. I'm quite pleased with the way this one turned out as it reminds me of Japanese animated films. I can imagine the butterfly and the geisha walking along together as part of a short scene.

@snowy Thanks, Diana. :)

Matt, I looked at yours and Bekks photo of this. I like both for different reasons. Your selective coloring makes your shot. Excellent. Bekks coloring is amazing also.

@maggie2 Thank you, Margaret. They are very different in style, Bekki's is very vibrant showing off the geisha at its best, and mine is perhaps the flipside. Appreciate you looking at them. :)

@snowy I wanted to create something delicate in my version. It was enjoyable to do a composition of a subtle nature. Thank you for taking the time to look at them both.
