He almost looks like a wolf. How close is a jackal to a dog's DNA, Sally?

@aspada They are members of the Canis family but the blackbacked jackal is more closely related to the coyote and the African wild dog. The domestic dog is more closely related to the wolf (info found on wikipedia!)
