My first attempt at my "get pushed challenge". Donna (@dhostick) challenged me to long shutter speed. This is not quite a second but due to the dreadful colour of the water I thought this one came out the best. It has been really interesting and I will be playing some more!
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
yes, this is exactly what I had in mind, and I think the "not as long" long shutter speed works well with the murkier watter. I love all of the textures in this photo, too!
@louiesphotos not sure this can be classified as a waterfall! It's all of about half a meter and run off from the rain we've had over the last two days. By tomorrow it will be dry.
That's a waterfall where I come from!! Haha... Actually we have a trickling creek, over some rocks, at the back of my place - but I'd have to stand chest deep in the creek to get the shot I want. I've considered it; but far too cold at the moment.
Well done! I am also planning to make some of pics with long exposure - the water becomes silky! Thank you for sharing, Sally. Go on with your experiments!
