Literally means 'frog path'! This wonderful old farm house has been renovated and turned into a restaurant, wine and chocolate tasting room, an art gallery and a second hand shop called "Iets van Alles" which mean 'a little of everything'. It is situated in the middle of Church Street. Church Street contains possibly the largest number of Cape-Dutch, Edwardian and Victorian provincial heritage sites (National Monuments - 32 in total) in one street in South Africa
An earthquake in 1969, measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale, badly damaged some of the original buildings on Church Street.
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.

Church Street sounds like the S.A. version of Cape May NJ- the entire town is on our national registry of historic sites with it's beautiful and amazing Victorian homes which are now mostly bed and breakfast places.
