@susale when I have finally worked through l the pictures tht I took I will no doubt have some pictures of older bull elephants which will illustrate the larger tusk.
Such gorgeous, mammoth animals! I envy you your easy ability to go and see them, assumingly not far from home! Your photos is wonderful, and with the explanation you gave Suse, I can see what you're saying!
@ericdibosco sadly already home, we had an afternoon, two full days and a short morning session in the park. Wish that we lived closer. I could spend all year visiting Addo!
@Weezilou Louise we are about 8 hours drive from the Addo Elephant Park. We try to visit about every 18 months although we were last there nearly 3 years ago!
@summerfield interestingly the small tears, nicks and holes on their ears are used to help identify the individual elephants. They get these nicks and holes either through fighting or from the vegetation that they live in.
