I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Wow - how lucky were you with your tags! Such a magnificent capture. Love the glimpse of the gable through the leaves. And those wonderful mountains. Fabulous composition Sally!
Special pastoral scene, always lovely with a mountain backdrop. By the way, any coffee shops or restaurants in Tulbach which you could recommend for a quick stop-over and light lunch or special cake?
@ericdibosco I go to 42 on Church or Things I Love (TIL), where they make nice food but not the speediest spot around. The Tuisnywerheid shot - Het Land van Warvern - do coffee and cake but I haven't personally tried it. They also sell Belgium chocolates and you can do a tasting with tea or coffee for around R60. There are also some places between Tulbagh and Ceres that are nice. Let me know if you need details.
@salza Thanks, Sally. Yes, the places between Ceres and Tulbagh may come in handy, since we will have quite a long trip for the day (Beaufort West to Paternoster) and we may not have the time to travel all the way up to Tulbagh. Although I would love to see the beautiful town again...
@ericdibosco Eric, it's about 4,5 hours to Tulbagh from Beaufort and it takes around 2 hours to get to Paternoster. Anyway there's Tolhuis (in Michell's Pass), Winterberg Mountain Inn (at the bottom of Michell's Pass) and Waverly Hills Wine estate. All have websites as far as I know. I can look them up if you're interested.
