@olivetreeann Ann, we are in the car on a gravel road. This jackal was about 2 or 3 meters from use. Most of the animals are not bothered by cars. If I remember correctly this jackal actually crossed the road just in front of us and then stopped alongside to watch us, but found something more interesting in the grass in front of it.
