Winterhoek Snow

After the big storm on Wednesday there was some snow on the mountains.

@maggiemae it was the worst storm experienced here for 30 years. Many areas (us included) were without power. Our outage lasted 48 hours. We also had no cell phone coverage and intermittent telephone from landlines - you really felt cut off from the world. Now apart from the storm damage there's a massive bush fire burning that has devastated towns and is still not under control - sadly arson is suspected.

It looks very peaceful after the storm. It is amazing how some places just don't show the devastation storms make and leave the area looking serene.
We had an East Coast Low (sub tropical cyclone) last year and had no power for 4 days, yet walking on the beach after the storm had passed it looked so peaceful.
