Hugging the shore

I stopped by City Park Lake (Sheldon Lake) this afternoon and saw the many water birds hugging the shore in the 7 degree F temp. This was one of the unfrozen portions of the lake.

I imagine that water is pretty cold - but at least it's water, not ice. Neat shot.
