Parishioners – those interested in the festa - normally throng around the main door of the church to watch the statue of the local patron saint come out of the church before it goes in procession round the traditional roads of the parish. Last Sunday, because of the threat of rain the statue was carried out to the main door for those outside to see and returned to its place and the procession cancelled. People seemed not wanting to give up the hope and remained around the church as if waiting for a reconsideration of the original decision.
When I went to take a shot of the church I couldn’t leave without showing the scene at the church.
Many thanks for your views, comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
They do look disappointed! I guess someone will have to come up with a clever way to cover them so they can still be paraded around for the faithful to enjoy and celebrate. But considering their artistic value, I don't blame the organizers for the decision that was made.
Where do you country get it`s foods from? Can you support yourselfs?
