Epidaurus Theatre (2)

From the 6th day of our Athens holiday - 18th February, 2023.
Shot taken from 2/3rds up the stairs of the theatre. Do you see a person in white trousers? That is how high the old Greek theatre stood. From there upwards was a Roman addition which I didn’t continue to climb. Down at ground level are Christine, Mary Grace and Joe who didn’t follow me up the steps and who I asked to pose for me before I started my way up there.
Almost incredible to see something like this built thousands of years ago and still standing proud.
Thank you very much for your visits, comments and Fav's on yesterday's picture.

It is an impressive amphitheatre. We went to a performance of Romeo and Juliet at the amphitheatre at Curium when we lived in Cyprus. The acoustics were amazing.
