Cards

So many lovely cards to read at No 3 this evening. It was odd arriving at a dark house, but it still feels like a home full of happiness. Grateful for recent and long term memories and so glad Allan and I came together.
Great welcome from neighbour Morag, who misses Mum on a day to day basis but I think this weekend will have helped.
Three good things
1. Busy day at school....a lot of ancient resources away to be recycled! Some items were published in 1961....the year I went to school!!!!
2. Safe travelling on busy roads.
3. Welcome....had a text from Morag....her son had seen the lights on and told her we had arrived 😊😊
I'm so glad you have all the memories

What a sentimental and emotional time you must currently be going through. You seem very much at peace though, thanks to your family, friends and neighbours. That must help enormously. Lovely image of this heartfelt card.

@jamibann it's an interesting journey and yes, I do have a lovely sense of peace about it all. Sometimes feels like I'm being carried through days and an extraordinary sense of gratitude for so much love throughout my life.....including 365 πŸ’›

This is such a beautiful card.... so wonderful when anyone who is loved & familiar in a place they have lived in for so long....the whole community feels the loss with you so you’re never alone in your sorrow. I feel for Morag looking out at your mums dark windows. Glad you’re keeping her house on...she will always be with you but her memory will be strongest there.

Thank you for your lovely comments. It's very reassuring to have so many friends who were so involved with Mum for many years and they all feel glad we are going to be back and fore on a regular basis. And because I was there so often it's easy to just do what needs to be done.
Also lovely to have freedom to explore places round about as it's such a gorgeous part of the country.
