Tinto Hill by sarahhorsfall

Tinto Hill

So, I'm back from my holiday in Scotland, and it's time to upload some of the pics I took there. They're more diary snaps than anything arty, mind!

The place I was staying, Wiston Lodge, is at the foot of Tinto Hill. I walked the last stretch of the journey from the bus-stop with my mate Kate aka @boristhecat, and this was taken on the approach.

Tinto Hill is the largest and most prominent landmark in the upper reaches of the Clyde Valley and (apparently) gives a fantastic 360 degree view from the top. I didn't venture up there though!

Wiston Lodge is in the middle of the dark green patch of forest above the left-most barbed wire knot.
ouch, the barbed wire looks very painful and the right hand one is pointing to the hill :)

@phil_howcroft @pennymilner @sleepdozer57 Thanks for your comments. I did boost the colours a wee bit on this one, but only a wee bit! I did take another pic just of the hill in the distance, but it was a bit dull, so put the barbed wire in there for a bit of close-up interest :o)

Love these kind of shots, theres something about barbed wire for framing a shot. cool.

@chewyteeth Thanks, Dave - yes, it does add a different feel to a shot!
