I went back in to London this morning, to catch my train back out to Manchester, and passed through St Pancras International Station, which is an impressive example of Victorian architecture, already displaying the olympic rings in readiness for next year's games.
The statue in the foreground is of Sir John Betjemen, the late poet laureate, who fought to save St Pancras station from demolition in the 1960s.
"The larger than life-size statue of Betjeman depicts him walking into the new station for the first time. He is looking up at the great arc of the train shed - which he always did because it took his breath away. He is leaning back and holding onto his hat, his coat tails billowing out behind him, caught by the wind from a passing train." http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/artblog/2007/oct/22/afittingtributetobetjeman
Very nice... I personally like the processing as-is.
(This shot reminds me that I need to get back to England before next year or wait until 2013. Somthing tells me airfare into London will be going way up. :-/ )
@patticake Thanks! I use Picknik to do the selective colouring - you put the photo into black and white, then use the eraser to put the colour back where you want it - it's pretty straightforward! :o)

@davidchrtrans You'd certainly be well advised to avoid Olympic time! lol
@rainbowsnic42 I did a bit of a catch-up last night! Cheers, the selective colour seemed the obvious thing to do with the rings! :o)
