Manchester Islamic Centre by sarahhorsfall

Manchester Islamic Centre

The Manchester Islamic Centre is just down the road from where I live - and I liked how it looked in the sunshine against the dark cloudy sky today as I walked past.

The building used to be a methodist chapel, from 1883 to 1962. It opened as the Manchester Islamic Centre in 1967, and is one of the oldest Islamic Centres in Britain.

stunning lighting sarah, just goes to show how the 'golden hour' lights up our photos ...(btw : photographers 'golden hour' known as......the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset)...I'd say this was low light in the evening ...at a guess !!! Don't know why, but it looks like evening light !

@phil_howcroft Yes, you're spot on - you can see in the 'details' that I took it at 5.16pm - and it's getting dark around 6pm now - so it was the 'golden hour' .. I'm enjoying the evening skies and light, even though I don't like that it's getting earlier and earlier .. but hey, it is what it is, and it does it every year - I ought to just go with it! :o)
