Telegraph pole by sarahhorsfall

Telegraph pole

Another fleeting clear blue sky (after really heavy rain overnight) .. another day with not much head-space left over for photos after a busy, stressy day at work .. so another not very exciting photo. My commitment/inspiration seems to be flagging a little bit lately. Anyway, took this while waiting for my bus home!
Don't flag Sarah, you are almost 'home' ...........only another 80 images to go ....I think I started a month behind you ...I'm on 251 but I have a few lapsed days ......even if I filled my lapsed days I'd still be lagging behind you.

You get moments when you struggle and then you see someone;s work and it inspires you to do something new .

80 days left...by my calculations I make that about '3 manc trees left' :) ...I must remember that 'gentle prod'...

I've wrote an 'essay' here and not commented about your pic yet !!!!!! As telegraph poles go ....it's very grand and very high.......could you do a manc tree image like this (once it's shed it's leaves) ?

@phil_howcroft I know .. I just sometimes feel like I've run out of ideas .. I look round my flat and all I can see are things I've already photographed!! I need to be looking with fresh eyes, and it's not happening too much at the moment. My head is too preoccupied with other stuff .. I tend to see good photo ideas when I'm more 'in the moment' than I seem to be managing right now! Thank you for your encouragement x

The telegraph pole is just a normal sized one .. but it does look 'gigantic' here, doesn't it?! I did a bit of black/white level stuff on the pole itself, which has really brought out the texture of the wood grain .. and yeah, I might try a similar shot with the tree when it's bare - cheers for the idea :o)

@sarahhorsfall hope you had a good weekend sarah..thanx for the long reply to my 'essay'..lol

Just hang on in there and you will complete your 365...it does seem a bit of a chore as you get towards the end ! I think it's important that we offer 'gentle encouragement' to our friends on here as it's very easy to drop out.

If I look at my list of followers and people I follow, I've noticed quite a few have given up after being here for quite a long time !

I'm sure you will finish OK and finish with a flourish of inspiration and with style... you will soon be counting down the days.

So that's my 'gentle encouragement' done ...Hope it worked for you :)

@phil_howcroft Thanks, Phil, I read this in between going to Sheffield, and then heading over to Yorkshire for a few days, but didn't have time to respond. Thank you for your continuing encouragement, validation and support. I value our friendship, if I may be so bold?! :o)

@sarahhorsfall hi sarah, welcome back, it's good to have friends on 365, we've been following each other for a long time (you were one of my early followers / friends) , so it's easy to encourage and support you.

I like your photography and sometimes you take on challenging subjects with excellent results and you also have the ability to make us all smile too :)

I value our friendship , so it's fine for you to be bold ;o)

@phil_howcroft "If I may be so bold as to presume a friendship?" .. can you tell I've been reading a Bronte novel in the last week?! For my book group .. not my cup of tea at all but I persevered to the end, and have clearly come over all 19th Century! LOL
