Chirimoya

Photo 362/365 .. just time to squeeze in one last "occasional fruit series" photo before the end of the year.

So .. this is a chirimoya .. again, bought from the international supermarket near where I work .. and apparently declared by Mark Twain to be "the most delicious fruit known to men"!

I did enjoy it - it had a texture a bit like a pear - and 27 of those seeds to pick out - but I'd have to disagree with Mr Twain, I don't think it's anything like as delicious as a ripe mango!! MMmmm, mango!

Who knew that signing up to a photo-a-day project would lead to being experimentally fruity?! LOL .. buying and eating strange and unfamiliar fruit, just to have something to photograph! Here's the whole fruit bowl from the year:

i've really liked your occasional fruit series sarah.....it's been fun ...and pun ....yes some really awful puns on the comments ....and some quite risqué ...or should i say 'fruity' comments too ! Fave fruits ..well the orange man stood out from the rest :) , but your figs looked lovely too....oh and the selective colouring on the blackberry was super

@phil_howcroft Thanks, Phil, I've enjoyed being fruity through the year ;o) .. and, yes, I think the orange man was particularly memorable LOL .. but I think my favourites would be the satsuma and the raspberry .. :o)
