My word/photo challenge for today is AN EVENT. It's my grandson's 11th birthday which is a fabulous EVENT but we didn't get to see him today - we did last night at his school concert in which he had a major part but were unable to do more than say a quick hello in passing.
However, I had the opportunity to go to one of the schools that has come to our creativity workshops. Last week's teacher was so excited to show me what she had done that I immediately went and got my camera to take pictures of this EVENT.
She had taped the pictures they had created in our workshop to the undersides of their desks, and in a Van Gogh moment had them lie on their backs on the floor to see the pictures. They had postit notes on which they then wrote one word about how that picture made them feel or what they saw in it. Three classes in all did the exercise. She then taped all the comments around the images and mounted them on the hall walls. Totally Brilliant!!!!
