This rusted scow has been in the water for 97 years. It broke loose from the barge that was towing it and was headed for the falls. The two men on board opened up the bottom dumping doors and the scow ran around in the shallow waters. It was not until the next day that they were rescued by breeches buoy on a line shot from the roof of the adjacent powerhouse. What a scary night that must have been for them - the sound of the rushing water would remind them that they were not far from the edge of the falls.
