This is one of the candles in our dining room chandelier. Does anyone know why the background turns dark when the camera gets close to light bulbs? I still think it's cool though.
I think it's the camera picking up the contrast... as you focus your vision on something bright the stuff around it gets darker. Like viewing a candle in a lit room, it's bright, but viewing it in a dark room it's really bright. (Sounds like the opposite of what you've asked but I'm not technical) It's cool anyway!
