Remembering

This is one of those days when I'm taking the liberty of replacing my photo of the day.

This evening my friend and I had the opportunity to visit the 9/11 Memorial ( http://www.911memorial.org/ ). It was incredibly moving being there, especially since my friend and I had both spent a fair amount of time at the World Trade Center prior to the terrorist attack upon our country.

I took several photos there, but I found this one to be the most moving. This pink rose resting in memorial upon the name of one of those whose life was lost that day was an eloquent and touching memorial to an individual loved one, and a reminder that each of those names represented someone who was similarly loved by others.
