Interesting how you can see through the foreground to background. This reminds me of the work of Ruth Asawa. Do you know it?

@jyokota I am a fan of Ruth Asawa. I saw her exhibition at the de Young Museum in San Francisco in 2006. The museum also has her sculptures in the permanent installation. The object of my photo above is the closeup of a lampshade, not comparable to Asawa's sculpture.

@shookchung -- I just saw some pieces of Asawa's at the Art Institute in Chicago in an exhibition of artists who have been influenced by their time in Mexico. While yours may be a lampshade, the idea of woven structure still reminded me of the beauty of Asawa's. I hear that Golden Gate Park has some pieces others, too?
