Day 170 - My Favourite Tree (Midsummer Reprise)

Finally, I found the opportunity to re-shoot my favourite tree.

This tree has featured twice before in my 365, i.e.

and I wanted to get it in the summer in full leaf, but preferably with a slightly misty, layered background, and today was the day.

Will revisit in the winter, hopefully for a full "white" shot, and then maybe a collage.

@ch1ppy_m1nton How dare you Mr Minton! Nope, I think you're right, that other shot is definitely better, with stronger contrast. I think the problem is that I've been waiting for a suitable summer shot and it's never really been perfect ever though I pass it every working day, as ultimately I'd like to do a collage depicting it across the seasons. Truth is, it's foliage ain't as nice in the summer as I thought it was going to be!

Love the colors and tones. Sort of reminds me of a shot I took in May of a lone tree and bench.
