Being a bit of a hi-fi nut (and somewhat anti-Apple) my MP3 Player and headphones are chosen for one reason only - to play music as well as possible. These little miracles cost a fair bit, but sound amazing, and never cease to put a smile on my face when listening to some lighthearted upbeat track from Radiohead ;-)
Just goes to show that macros are good for all sorts of things, not just for flowers and insects! Wonderful detail, great composition and love the gold tones and soft grey base.
@nestortrillo@bardejov@sturnus@amandal Thanks guys - this was really a filler that wasn't a filler if you see what I mean. I needed a shot for the day and didn't have one so dreamt this one up quickly and to be fair it's pretty average. Composition in particular is a bit rubbish. But I did learn one thing - the ole' macro lens, astonishing as it is, doesn't work well on a tripod unless the IS is turned off, which I sort of knew, but became very clear (or not!) when I tried to shoot this...
What MP3 player have you got? I have a cowon iaudio x5 which I've had for years, I have soldered at least 3 new batteries into it. It sounds amazing. I use it with my Bower and Wilkins p5's. I am due a new one, I don't like apple either, got any recommends?
@dreamatrix Hi Paul, it's a Cowon J3, which is quite old now (I suppose about 3-4 years old), and like your x5 it sounds superb, particularly when teamed up with those Klipsch X10's. (In fact, pound for pound, those Klipsch X10's are the nest bit of hi-fi I've ever bought, they're that good).
MP3 player wise (or should that be FLAC Player now?) Cowon do a couple of different players the X10, Z2, some with or without Android support, I think they all sound good. There are also some very expensive brands on the market as well such as Colorfly and Astell and Kern, but I have no idea if they are worth the money or not. Try www.advancedMP3players.co.uk to see whats on sale that's non Apple.
