The Butter Cross. Ludlow.

The butter cross built in 1744 stands at the top of Broad St.thats were I was standing in the middle of the st. when I was taking this photo so didn't manage to get a very good angle.The church is st. Laurence's it is one of the largest churches in the UK. it has been a place of worship for 900 years

They have table's and chairs set out under the arch for food and drinks served from the pub.it's a nice place to sit and watch the world go by.

Ludlow is so full of lovely buildings - it's beatiful as long as you aren't trying to find a parking space! What a nice blue sky you had today!

This shot made me feel a bit homesick as we used to live in nearby Herefordshire, before moving to France 6 yrs ago. Ludlow is a very special place with lots of specialist shops. Is the Olive Branch cafe still going strong ?
