I was very pleased to get this picture of a dragon fly ,it took ages,then as I was about to give up it settled.. when *I looked up information on the dragonfly ........it said they were magnificent swift glittering and alarmingly unpredictable. ( I think I could have told them that!!!!!
And wow, they are beautiful...look at those translucent wings and that pretty blue!
Where I come from (western NY state near the Great Lakes /Canadian border) we called them "ear sewers" and as a kid I was afraid of them b/c I really did think they would sew up my ears if they got near me! Hahahahaha....(how embarrassing to admit that!)
See, now you will be *worried* when you see that *scary* dragonfly again! Haha...and my "trip" was just a short drive to son #1's place and then right back home. I didn't call first, just decided to drive out and if they were not there, was going to leave present on door step....turned out my daughter-in-law was out with girlfriend to see that new "Eclipse" movie...not a guy movie so son stayed home to catch up on work...he works from home.
