Oh I love sweet peas! I've struggled to grow them because of all the snails , but I have vivid memories of my Grandad's canes and canes of sweet peas and how much happiness they brought my Nana.
Nicely posed. I am cutting huge bunches every day but l am finding it difficult to get the right shot. You have the perfect window for this. I'll keep trying.
OHHHH MYYYY I would love to sniff these sweet peas and take a long view of the hollyhocks. This is the MOST wonderful window decoration and view........And Congrats -- this pic has made the Popular Page.
What memories these bring back from my childhood! My late-Grandpa used to grow a large vine of them that climbed over an arbor which acted like a cover over his driveway. When he cut some to bring inside the home, their scent was just lovely!
Now, whenever I see them, I can't resist picking some and taking in their lovely smell. They remind me of him. The last time saw some as pretty as these was out at Roma; on the Granite Belt of Queensland. I was visiting some friends and the neighbour's fence was absolutely covered in them.
Mmmm, lovely, oh and I see from comment above that it's made the popular page, bravo!! But those hollyhocks are not looking quite as tall as my hollyhocks, I think I shall have to get the tape measure out, just for the record!!
