Hopton Castle.

This romantic ruin is all that is left of the medieval castle in Hopton Heath. Besieged in a notorious battle of the English Civil War it was in ruins for many years.In 2006 The Hopton Castle Preservation Trust Secured over £1 million from Heritage Lottery Fund and other sources.This has allowed the castle to be purchased and repaired. We visited the castle today it was amazing the work that had been done.

Wow--what amazing scenery/castles you get to enjoy. I'm sooooo envious right now--that was my favorite part about backpacking all around the UK. This is wonderful
