Church of St Bartholomew. by snowy

Church of St Bartholomew.

This is the interior of our local church. The oldest part the nave and chancel were built originally in the 12th c.The nave and south aisle are filled with box pews-containing mid and late 17th c.panelling.Most pews are numbered.
Wow, that would be a breathtaking tour of this wonderful building.

What a beautiful looking church and yay, they've kept the pews!! So many churches these days are removing the pews and putting in seats but I love sitting in a pew and imagining all the people in years gone by who have sat there!
