Ask the man who owns one...

Continuing with the automotive tail lamp theme from yesterday, here is an Art Deco styled tail lamp from a 1941 Packard One Eighty, Packard's top of the line luxury automobile. Today's title was one of the most successful advertising slogans of all time, used from 1900 through 1958.

The Packard One Eighty was the first automobile to feature air conditioning and power windows. It was used as a limousine or a sedan, with a hidden glass partition between the front and rear seats. The finest leather, wood and wool were used for its interior. This was the American Rolls Royce.

Best viewed large. Day 34 of my "35 days of 35mm" series.

I once new a man who owned 5 Packards. He had them in his back yard with the intention of restoring them. I was young at the time and we moved away. I don't know if he ever achieved his goal or not. I didn't know the Parkard was considered the American Rolls Royce. I saw a few of these in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.
Beautiful capture Danny!
