"Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you're slip sliding away...
God only knows, God makes his plan
The information's unavailable to the mortal man
We're workin' our jobs, collect our pay
Believe we're gliding down the highway, when in fact we're slip sliding away..."
Released in 1977, Slip Slidin' Away became a major hit for Paul Simon, charting to number 5. Its haunting melodies and lyrics are quite moving.
Danny, I have only just "discovered" what you have been doing. Absolutely knocked out by it. Congratulations. Bob Dylan, Neil Young - keep going buddy!
i'm loving your simon and garfunkel song depictions. i was planning on doing the same thing for june, but of course i can never match the photographs. having niagara as my go-to for photo-opps, i have a few similar shots. with the weather getting better, i can once again plan on getting near the edge of the falls. great work, mr. G!
