Thanks for putting yesterday's Zion image on PP. Today we are inside the park, on the canyon floor. The southern entrance of Zion is very different than the South or North Rim of the Grand Canyon, as you enter Zion at the canyon floor and look up, as opposed to entering the Grand Canyon from the rim. Zion Canyon is 15 miles long and up to half a mile deep. It was cut through the reddish and tan sandstone over time by the north fork of the Virgin River, which can be seen in this image.
