I've had an idea to do a shot like this with our gothic arch thingymabopper for a while so figured it fits this week's theme well enough to give it a go today. After rearranging all of the living room furniture and chasing off the cats I managed to get something fairly close to what I'd envisioned.
........ This is absolutely stunning! Way to go, Lina!

Wow. This is a beautiful photo! The fill light on you from the candles, the highlighted bars in the dark areas, the cast shadow on the wood flooring, the lighting coming through the drapes. There are a ton of things that could have gone wrong with this, but nothing did. I love it!

I love the fact that even your dress got the gothic feel to it! Very nice!

@canaro71 @bill_d @becky_tamm Thanks!

@angelwilliam That's why I'm so glad it turned out as I'd hoped. I did have to take a handful of photos adjusting the exposure and lighting before I got it just right.

@naladka And to think I almost donated that dress to Goodwill last year. Glad I let it hang out in my closet a little longer. This project is making it hard for me to chuck anything out just in case I need it as a prop in a photo at some point in the future.

@miata2u @jannaellen @individuality_a Thanks, ladies! Special thanks to Holly for pointing out that I finally made it to the popular page! I'm so thrilled. Even though I know this project should be all about me that still feels darn good.

This has the feeling of a church setting. Lovely work. I would never have guessed that this was your home setting. I love the drama of this.

Congrats Lina - found this great shot on the pp too. In this shot you look both angleic with the shape of the divider and devilish in your clothes and pose - great work

@karens68 @nectarfizz @bugik Thanks!
@peterauliciems @poggy1818 I was definitely going for something a little creepy and dark like the statues from the "Blink" episode of Doctor Who: http://www.the-medium-is-not-enough.com/images/Blink.jpg

Right before you blink and they turn into this: http://bowjamesbow.ca/images/blink.jpg
