I made some Harry Potter-themed cupcakes to commemorate the release of the last film. Despite my obvious excitement I haven't been to see it yet and plan to wait at least another week for the crowds to thin out. This is partially because I hate annoying people at the movies and partially because I know I'll cry like a baby when my favorite character dies so the fewer witnesses the better.
i cried like a baby at the premiere. i have never read the books and have only seen the movies once each, at midnight on their release date. my best friend is a huge harry potter freak and i just ended up along for the ride. its been a good ride, though.
also, these cupcakes look phenomenal.
By now I think you already watched the movie right? Did you like it?
I am and I have to do like a Harry Porter marathon here, I think I have seen the first and the third, I liked it, one day I'll do it.
The photo as I said before, it is really good, and extra special with the Harry Porter theme
I haven't seen a new Harry Potter movie in ages! It will be a great movie marathon for me and my husband once the last one comes on DVD. Your cupcakes look great - real designer creation, if you ask me :) Do you put some kind of white material behind and under to get that background? And then shoot in broad daylight only?
@naladka Thanks so much! It's a piece of white paperboard as the background. My dirty little secret is that the natural lighting in my house is so bad that I can only get halfway decent food pics is by adjusting my camera's white balance for the fluorescent lights in my kitchen. I know all of the professionals say that's a no-no but every time I've tried with natural light they don't turn out nearly as well.
