I've got all sorts of evil creatures around the house with dramatic eyes perfect for this week's theme. Unfortunately, today I've got such a huge headache that I couldn't figure out how to stage this or do more than a close-up of this dude's evil dead eyes. So this is what you get.
In light of the recent thread entitled "You Are Not a Photographer" I'm feeling extra critical today and hate that part of this is out of focus. Clearly I have a long way to go skill-wise.
Love it! I'm not sure what "kooky" is but I don't remember seeing this little dude in your house... also, the whole "You Are Not a Photographer" thing... I hear ya.
I laughed out loud when I read Paula's ( @pwallis) comment because I had that exact same thought when I saw this photo. :-P A little frightening... :-P I hear ya also with the "You are not a photographer." However, you have some pretty amazing (actual) talent---don't sell yourself short!
That's how Ken looks in afterlife! I love his eyes - so striking :) And that thread - some photos were better than mine and got bad comments... Oh well.. At least it was funny!
@pwallis and @poggy1818 I've got much worse, actually. The entire house is decorated like it's Halloween all year long and it's full of horror movie action figures and life-size animatronic creatures. We're weird people. :)
@naladka I could say the same about my shots too but I think the difference is that we're not charging people money. Or going around proclaiming how great we are. I definitely know my limits and my weaknesses, even if I don't always know how to fix them or don't notice until after I've uploaded. Honestly, I think the main difference between me and professionals is consistency. I'm just not able to always produce shots that are in focus with the right lighting and composition and I wouldn't dream of charging for my services until I can do that.
do not worry about that article at all. It is from people that forgot that they once knew zilch about photography and that we here are enjoying our journey to learning more. You have nothing to worry about.
