This was on my house when I bought it several years ago, but I've never used the dish, preferring cable. One day last year my next door neighbour let me know it was loose and about to fall. He got his ladder and went up, but couldn't quite manage to lift it down. A quick call to our across the street neighbour, who is quite a bit younger, and he was up the ladder, finished loosening the only bit that was still holding on, and the dish was down. No harm done to anyone, or to my roof!
