Via Sottoriva is one of the most characteristic streets of the city of Verona and still retains its original appearance. The name "Sottoriva" (literally "under the bank") is derived from the position where the street is located, next to the river bank. Once there were numerous mills along the street. It is placed in a very low area, in the past the street was subject to frequent flooding due to the river overflow. On one side of the street there is a low and gloomy porch that gives the street its typical medieval look.
I will take other photos of this street because it is one of my favourite places of the city.
