New exercise equipment

@pyrrhula @bruni My husband now tells me that his "exercise equipment" is actually a dog toy! Recently he has been suffering with a very painful left hand which was causing him to lose sleep at night. A friend recommended that he get a small ball to massage his hand, and this is all he could find! Subsequently my daughter now tells me it is actually a child's toy...they did look at pet toys, but those squeaked, so they moved onto the children's section - this just lights up when in use.!

Did this exercise helped him. I think I have arthritis in my thumbs. can hardly hold a glass or unscrew something - the movement hurts.
and I'm afraid to drop something.

@bruni He tells me that it good for strengthening tendons. However one of his hands is swollen, and the spikes therefore dig into that hand as he uses it ...working through the pain!
