Today, the Greenfield Bridge was imploded. It was falling apart so badly that it was actually featured on Jon Oliver's special about infrastructure (they built a smaller bridge underneath it to catch the parts of bridge that were falling off of it). It was so far past the point of being able to repair it that they decided to just implode it and drop it onto the parkway beneath. We got up before dawn to secure a spot to stand and get photos & videos of the event. It was SO COOL and I'm glad we got to be there! This is the dust rising up as the bridge went down.
