Paw Paw Tunnel

Day #4 on the bike trail was the first day on the C&O. The C&O is a lot rougher than the GAP, and the government shutdown left it unmanned by park rangers, so you were on your own, with no open facilities for long stretches (43 miles from Cumberland to the first 'town'). Best part of the day? The terrifying Paw Paw Tunnel. Yeah. We went through that! It's over half a mile long with absolutely NO light. The things nightmares are made of!!
