A tropical storm hit during day 5 of the bike trip. It dumped 4.8 inches of rain on us during the 65 mile ride that day. I broke two spokes and lost my rear brakes completely around mile 25. Truly a test of endurance!! But despite the terrible terrain and flooded path, we made it to Harper's Ferry! This was taken during one of the brief pauses in rain outside Williamsport
