Day 024, Year 4 - The Falcon Clubhouse, Abu Dhabi

The falcon is the national bird of the United Arab Emirates, and falconry here goes back around 2000 years. The clubhouse at the Abu Dhabi course where I have been working this week is designed with this in mind as you can see from the picture. It is a very nice building inside, and it's quite something to see up close, imposing at first but quite a statement too.

Due to weather delays the last couple of morning, we were in before the sunrise again for another long day on camera covering the final day;s play of the Abu Dhabi Championship, so I grabbed this shot during the brief lunch break.

I have tried before to grab a shot so glad I finally did it.

3 good things:

1 - A lovely lunch today - the local catering here is lovely...!
2 - Awesome hot weather out on the course today
3 - A very quick de-rig of the kit into the trucks before they roll out tonight to Doha, for next week's golf
I'm not surprised the club house is so beautiful, high standards in Abu Dhabi!
