Day 084, Year 4 - Miserable In Mortlake

Although the shot has a ice bit of colour in it, the weather in Mortlake in West London where this was taken was horrid. I was working there getting ready for this years Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, and this was snapped as we were heading home for the day, and literally just before my battery ran out of power, looking towards the Ship pub at the finish line of the race.

3 good things:

1 - A nice easy day at work despite the cold weather
2 - A good run in the rain after work
3 - A beer in the evening with a colleague in the flat we were using for the week
Very beautiful.

your description makes me cold, even though there is plenty of warmth in the shot and in those gorgeous reflections.

I marvel at how you manage to get a great shot day in day out, even when things around you are less than ideal! I managed a shot a day for a year, but have not managed that in my second year!

It looks very special and the blue and the lights have created a really beautiful scene

@ukandie1 Thank you Andie. I appreciate you saying that especially when there are odd times when I am struggling for inspiration as the few shots of this month will show (uploading those soon). Never great trying to follow a London shoot or a week in Wales in the mountains when I am at home in a grey (and flat) Norfolk...as nice as it can be sometimes...!
