Day 010, Year 5 - Sloe Drip Of Gin

This is from last night (as I write this) taken quickly while waiting for the first bottle's worth of sloe gin to slowly filter through into the bottle. I picked these berries in Norfolk last October, mixed them with sugar and Hendricks gin and yesterday I opened the Kilner jar for the first time since then and bottled the solution.

It's the second year running I have made sloe gin, it's very sweet and it's very good. I drank a lot over Christmas shared with family and friends so I think it will be something I do for years to come.

The following day's shot is the 3 bottles finished and ready to drink:

3 good things:

1 - Getting some clothes ready for my UAE trip
2 - Brief run along the seafront
3 - Good to get the last of the new batch of sloe gin into bottles
Are you sure this isn't a shot of what is left in the bottle :)

I'd love to taste this! The colour especially makes it look very intriguing.

@happypat There may not be that much difference but it does taste delicious from the very few drops I tasted.

Love this, great shot and it makes me think of making sloe gin with my mum. Picking the berries, then bringing them home, washing them and then pricking each one with a needle.

@ukandie1 The making process is almost as good as the using process :)
