I've not been out for quite a while as I'm suffering with that winter cold that's going around.
This is from during lockdown last year but the reason for the title is, sadly, this colony of Hares that I have spent the last three years working with and gaining their trust, have now departed due to lots of farm machinery and men with shotguns. At least, I hope they left for new pastures. I fell in love with these creatures
Oh no ... I so enjoy your hare images! Our local hares are called jack rabbits. They are few and far between, and nigh on impossible to get a photo of. You have been blessed to have had the opportunity to spend time with these hares the past few years.
That’s such a sad story Steve and I understand how you feel. I just hope that these beautiful animals find a new home. It’s worrying though because there are fewer and fewer suitable places for them to go. I love hares and I’ve enjoyed all your hare photos. This one is beautiful and very apt. Fav.
