I took a trip to the local RSPB site today.
It's only the second time I've been there and after walking around for a few hours and seeing absolutely nothing, I remembered why I didn't rush back after last time.
On getting back to where I started, I did manage to grab a quick shot of the Nuthatch. I've been trying to find one for ages and this one was on the feeders outside the shop of all places
Great looking nuthatch and mush different from those we see here. Some days just being out in nature is healing by itself. When we get an added plus of seeing the target birds we look for causes us extra delight.
I had a guess at what RSPB stood for (and I was right) but I looked it up and Wow!! 1540 paid employees, 88mil pounds revenue. They would want to be preserving an awful lot of birds for that.
Great shot and I am glad that this little bird is still around. Since the hide was vandalised and taken down I haven’t been there for ages. Seeing this has made me think about going there again but I have got to wait until my car gets through the MOT - hopefully tomorrow
